For Highly Mobile Projects, Consider Using a Rolling Ladder

If you have ever been to a bookstore like Barnes and Noble or to an old fashioned library, you have probably seen a rolling ladder in action. While the items that these book sellers use to get to the higher places in their stores are an extremely simple take on the rolling ladder technology, you can easily get an idea of how a rolling ladder can be used to get from one place to another quickly and easily. These ladders are positioned next to a wall that they are able to lean against. Small wheels on the bottom of the rolling ladder allow the ladder to be moved swiftly and easily by just one person without too much strain or difficulty. Unfortunately, they are not conducive to a home environment since most homes are not simply shaped like a box – as you would find in a library or bookstore.
However, if you want a rolling ladder in your home, all is not lost, as you can still buy an industrial grade rolling ladder if you really feel that you need one. These are the types of ladder that you see in hardware stores like Lowes or the Home Depot. They are constructed from solid metal and have four wheels on the bottom. Such ladders do not collapse for easy storage, so they must be left out at all times. The wheels are located on all corners of the ladder and provide it with a nice, graceful motion whenever you have to move it around. All in all, if you feel that you may be doing projects that require you to be moved around a lot and you are too lazy to simply climb down a traditional ladder in order to move it, then perhaps a ladder may be for you. Unfortunately for most people, though, since a ladder is generally not collapsible, it is completely worthless for home use.
